1. Ce este siliconul si la ce se poate utiliza?

Siliconul din categoria ”silicon, spume si solutii tehnice” sunt acele produse cauciucate pe care le gasiti pe marginea chiuvetei pentru a izola locul ramas gol dintre masca si chiuveta. Cu alte cuvinte, siliconul este un produs care inchide etans, este foarte versatil si poate fi utilizat in multe aplicatii, exceland atunci cand este folosit pe sticla si metale. Este relativ accesibil, are o elasticitate buna si rezista foarte mult timp. Este usor de utilizat si are un aspect estetic.

 
2. Care sunt aspectele pozitive si negative ale siliconului?

Aspecte pozitive
- Elasticitate permanenta
- Foarte usor de utilizat
- Aderenta mare pe materialele lucioase, cum ar fi sticla si metalele
- Rezistenta foarte buna la caldura si razele UV
- Rezistent la apa


Aspecte negative
- Nu poate fi vopsit
- Nu are o culoare curata - intotdeauna pare putin tulbure
- Aderenta slaba pe materiale poroase cum este lemnul si caramida
